REGISTRATION INFORMATION

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

TO REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP

PLEASE FILL OUT THE REGISTRATION FORM.

CLASS SIZE  

SILK FUSION WORKSHOP: Maximum 8 students; minimum 3

PUBLICITY WORKSHOP: Maximum 10 students; minimum 3

CLASS DAYS/HOURS Workshops are 10am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday including a 30-45 minute on-site lunch break each day.

FEES

          SILK FUSION WORKSHOP: $150 + $50 Materials fee (extensive materials provided with many that can be taken home)

          THE ART OF PUBLICITY: $150 (no materials fee)

          LUNCH: You may either bring  your own lunch or pay $7/day for a simple lunch that will be provided (there are no restaurants nearby).  If you want lunch provided, your registration packet will include a form where you can list any food allergies or preferences (low-fat, vegetarian, etc.).  Coffee, tea & sodas will be available for all (no charge).

PAYMENT

Payment IN FULL is required at time of registration by check or money order only.  No charge cards

REGISTRATION PACKET After your registration and payment are received, we will mail you a packet that will include:  • Information about your workshop    • Directions to workshop location • Short list of items you need to bring to workshop  • Lunch preference sheet • Other pertinent information.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

If you are unable to attend a workshop, you must send written notice via e-mail.  You are entitled to a refund as follows: 

    Cancellation 3 weeks or more before workshop date: 100% refund

    Cancellation 2 to 3 weeks before workshop date: $100 + Materials fee + lunch payment, if any.   

   Cancellation less than 2 weeks before workshop date: $50 + Materials fee + lunch payment, if any.

There is no return or prorating of fees for late arrival or early departure from a workshop, regardless of the cause. 

Deer Isle Creative Workshops reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to low enrollment (a minimum of 3 students must be registered at least ten (10) days before workshop date) or an emergency.  If such a cancellation occurs, students will be immediately notified by e-mail and will receive a full refund. Students who are making travel arrangements should check on enrollment numbers before making reservations.  Sorry, but we can't be responsible for travel costs incurred if a workshop is cancelled.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY As a condition of enrolling in a Deer Isle Creative Workhop, students agree to assume all risk for personal injury or loss of or damage to personal property and further agree that they will not hold Deer Isle Creative Workshop, Suzanne or Donald Carmichael responsible or liable for any personal injuries that may be suffered or damage to any personal property that may occur.
