GENERAL WORKSHOP INFORMATION

Workshop hours: 

          Saturday and Sunday: 10a.m to 4 p.m. (with 30-45 minute on-site lunch break). 

 

Workshop location:  All workshops are held in my studio and expanded workshop space at ocean’s edge on Deer Isle, an island off the Maine Coast.  We are approximately 2 hours from Augusta, 3 hours from Portland, 5 hours from Boston, and 1 1/4 hours from Bangor or Bar Harbor.  Our island is bridge-linked so you will not have to wait for a ferry.  Specific directions provided when registration and payment received.

 

Attire:  Please wear old clothes for Silk Fusion workshop (it can be messy) and also slip-off shoes (so you won’t track into other parts of the property).  If you wish to take an ocean dip at lunchtime, please bring your own suit, flip-flops and towels.  No shower facilities available. 

 

Accessibility  Unfortunately, the studio and work area is not handicapped accessible.

 

Parking:  Lots, free.

 

Lunch:  You may bring your own lunch, or add $7.00/day for lunch to be provided (there are no restaurants or grocery stores within walking distance).  If you have any dietary restrictions, please be sure to let me know on a form that will be included with your registration packet.
